Ordered a new brake master cylinder from RockAuto for my Miata. What came in the mail was a Mercedes oil seal. So now I have to wait for the return process to go through until I can

For what it’s worth, this is the first time RockAuto has failed me over about 10 shipments or so.

Rockauto... Ordered mufflers for mini there with some straps - it’s a whole weird setup mini has going on... Either way... there is the left and right strap... and then there is the fake it till you make it straps... I got the latter ones... Wish I knew better

For me, I loved Rockauto until I had an issue. Prior to this out of over 25 orders, the worst was a missing gasket from a set. Didn’t actually need that one, so didn’t even try to return it. Ordered parts with rush(next business day, their equivalent of overnight) shipping. Parts failed to arrive on time. Came three days late. Fedex screwed up, but Rockauto never gave me my money back for the rush shipping. Fedex would only issue a refund to them, and they wouldn’t file for it. It was more than the cost of the part...
Basically the prices are great and they don’t screw up a lot, but when they do, don’t expect anything from them. They’re rude on the phone, they won’t let you escalate a problem to a supervisor, and they just plain don’t give a fuck about you. I told them to look at my account, I own a small dealership and use them when I buy parts. So not just an individual customer, a company making multiple orders, they didn’t give a fuck...

Well that’s a pretty good perspective to keep I guess.
I’ve got 2 boxes arriving from them today, faster than anticipated. And I’m about to make another big order.
